Sectigo named 'Most Innovative Certificate Lifecycle Management' in Cyber Defense Magazine’s 2026 Top InfoSec Innovator Awards

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., October 20, 2026 — Sectigo, a global leader in automated Certificate Lifecycle Management (CLM), today announced that Cyber Defense Magazine has named Sectigo Certificate Manager (SCM) as the Most Innovative Certificate Lifecycle Management in the 2026 Top InfoSec Innovator Awards.

Shrinking certificate lifespans and growing machine identities are increasing the scale and complexity of certificate management, requiring organizations to manage more certificates, more often, and with less room for error. As that complexity grows, manual processes and fragmented tools increase the risk of outages and compliance gaps. SCM was recognized in this year’s Top InfoSec Innovator Awards for helping organizations meet these challenges through one platform that provides visibility across public and private certificates and orchestrates the full lifecycle with ACME-native automation. SCM also helps enterprises prepare for the PQC transition, with Sectigo PQC Labs providing a way to experiment with post-quantum algorithms and certificates, and Private PQC in SCM bringing that experimentation into familiar certificate lifecycle workflows so teams can evaluate the operational impact of PQC before broader adoption.

“We are grateful to Cyber Defense Magazine and its judges for this recognition,” said Ian Hassard, Chief Product Officer, Sectigo. “Our customers want certificate management to run quietly in the background and Sectigo Certificate Manager continues to deliver on our commitment to keep it simple, even as certificate volumes grow, lifespans shrink and enterprise environments become more complex.”

Sectigo Certificate Manager’s Role in Quantum Security Posture Management

SCM, Sectigo’s flagship CLM platform, sits within the company’s broader approach to Quantum Security Posture Management (QSPM), which combines cryptographic discovery, risk prioritization and CLM to manage cryptographic change. SCM provides the lifecycle automation and orchestration required to execute cryptographic change at scale, while Sectigo Quantum Ready™, launched in September 2026, provides discovery and risk assessment capabilities.

“We scoured the globe looking for cybersecurity innovators that could make a huge difference and potentially help turn the tide against the exponential growth in cyber-crime.  Sectigo is worthy of being named a winner in these coveted awards and consideration for deployment in your environment,” said Yan Ross, Editor of Cyber Defense Magazine.

The Top InfoSec Innovator Awards are part of the Cyber Defense Awards, now in their 14th year of honoring cybersecurity innovators. The program looks for companies that can make a real difference against the rapid growth in cyber-crime. Winners are selected by cybersecurity industry veterans, trailblazers and market makers.
