Understanding the Migration
All Entrust customers and partners will be migrated to Sectigo. Sectigo and Entrust are working together to provide tools and guidance needed to support a smooth migration. Entrust's ECS Public Trust capabilities and the ECS Partner Portal will be retired on September 17, 2025.
No, your account will be migrated to Sectigo automatically on July 14th.
The acquisition includes all public-facing certificates, such as Entrust SSL certificates, S/MIME, Code Signing, eIDAS, and Verified Mark certificates.
Private CA offerings are not included.
On July 14th, 2025, your ECS account will be automatically migrated to SCM.
Preparing for the Migration
- Select Sectigo as your Certificate Authority (CA) within Entrust Certificate Services (ECS).
- Validate your organization and domains within ECS to ensure a smooth transition.
Sectigo will send out additional information prior to the migration date.
You do not need to revalidate their domain(s) for currently active certificates validated by Entrust. When you transition over to the Sectigo CA, you will need to revalidate your domains.

Yes, you will need to re-validate your domains with Sectigo as this is a CAB Forum from the SSL baseline requirements
No, certificates issued from Sectigo will maintain the same functionality and appearance as those from Entrust.

Yes, absolutely. Once you have your SCM account you will have an integrated purchasing agreement and can add to your certificate inventory.
Platform and Certificate Management
Yes once you migrate, your SSL.com and Entrust certificates will be visible in Sectigo's platform (SCM).
No, your payment method will be securely transferred and be available to use for renewals and new purchases.
Yes, Sectigo will honor your existing contract terms with Entrust.
Yes, if you have currently set up your Entrust subscriptions with auto renew, they will continue to renew with Sectigo.
The SSL/TLS certificate issued from SSL.com will reamin active for the lifetime of the certificate. Renewing the certificate will be issued from a Sectigo CA.
