Sectigo partners with Entrust to deliver best-in-class public TLS offerings to customers of all sizes

Sectigo and Entrust have announced a partnership to continue to offer best-in-class public TLS certificate offerings to Entrust customers and partners.

Entrust will be reselling Sectigo certificates in full compliance with the requirements of the CA/Browser Forum. Sectigo’s integration with Entrust Certificate Services (ECS) platform is expected to launch before the end of the year.

A crucial time for the WebPKI

The partnership between Sectigo and Entrust is timely, aligning with significant shifts in the Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) industry. Major browsers like Google and Apple are advocating for shorter lifespans for public certificates, with proposals to reduce validity periods to as short as 45 days by 2027. This trend underscores the critical need for robust Certificate Lifecycle Management (CLM).

Organizations that do not automate their certificate renewal processes risk facing serious consequences, including service outages, security breaches, and potential blocking by browsers. These issues can lead to reputational damage and revenue loss. Implementing automated CLM solutions is essential to maintain security and operational continuity in this evolving landscape.

Your future is in good hands

Sectigo is committed to advancing the WebPKI ecosystem, consistently prioritizing industry best practices. Our early adoption of the ACME automation protocol in 2019, and our recent sponsorship of Apple’s draft proposal for a phased approach to shorter certificate lifecycles, exemplify our commitment. Through this partnership, we are able to guarantee business continuity for thousands of Entrust customers and partners.

“Sectigo is the best CA alternative for Entrust today. We are delighted to be able to extend the same exceptional service we offer our customers to Entrust’s customers.” Kevin Weiss, CEO of Sectigo
