Quantum Ready™️ - FAQ
Overview
Quantum Ready™ is Sectigo’s discovery and readiness product within Quantum Security Posture Management, or QSPM. It builds a cryptographic inventory, maps dependencies, assesses exposure, and turns findings into a prioritized quantum-readiness plan.
QSPM is the operating model for continuous post quantum readiness and crypto agility. It connects discovery, understanding, prioritization, planning, change, verification, and governance. Quantum Ready™ is the practical starting point for that journey.
It helps teams understand what cryptography they have and what to address first. Expected outputs include a cryptographic inventory, dependency context, exposure assessment, and prioritized PQC readiness plan.
Early access gives qualified customers early use of Quantum Ready™ before general availability. Participants evaluate the product in their own environment and provide feedback that helps shape the experience. Availability and onboarding are confirmed by the Sectigo team.
Organizations looking to understand their Cryptographic Bill of Materials (CBOM), improve cryptographic visibility, assess quantum risk posture, or prepare for PQC migration. It's most valuable for teams responsible for security, PKI, infrastructure, risk, compliance, and application ownership.
PQC scope and availability
No. Quantum Ready™ helps organizations discover cryptographic exposure and prepare for migration. Production-ready public PQC certificates are not part of this program.
Yes. Controlled testing options may be available through Sectigo's Private PQC offerings. Please contact your Sectigo representative for details.
ML DSA is a digital signature algorithm. It signs; it does not encrypt. It should not be described as quantum safe encryption.
No. Early access is controlled availability, not general availability. Customers should expect the Sectigo team to confirm the approved scope, supported discovery sources, integrations, deployment requirements, and product status for their engagement.
Contact your Sectigo account team to discuss fit, goals, environment scope, stakeholders, and technical onboarding. Participation is intended for qualified customers and partners, with final scope and availability confirmed by Sectigo.
What customers can expect
The pilot is most valuable when it includes the people who own and act on cryptographic risk. Typically that means:
- Security leadership (CISO or equivalent) as the executive sponsor.
- PKI or infrastructure architects who understand where certificates and keys live.
- Risk and compliance stakeholders who care about PQC readiness and audit outcomes.
- A technical contact to help deploy the agents, access to the environments in scope for discovery.
If your organization has a team dedicated to cryptographic posture or crypto-strategy, they’re the dream team for this pilot – no cape required!
Up to 45 days. Your team utilizes the platform to discover keys and certificates in your environment, joins regular check-ins, and shares feedback.
We propose a weekly 30-minute check-in. These are working sessions to review findings and capture feedback, not formal status reviews. We flex the cadence to fit your team.
Effort is intentionally light. The main asks are:
- Deploy discovery agents and let them run across the target environment.
- Spend some hands-on time exploring the platform and reviewing findings over the 45 days.
- Participate in check-ins.
- Share candid feedback.
Sectigo is responsible for hosting and analysis. Your time goes into deployment, review, and feedback.
Deployment and technology
Yes. To provide comprehensive cryptographic discovery, customers will need to deploy one or more discovery components within their environment. Depending on the systems and data sources in scope, this may include packet capture for network discovery, endpoint-based discovery, database discovery, and cloud service integrations. Some capabilities require software deployment, while others connect to supported cloud services or ingest existing discovered data. During onboarding, we will work with your team to determine which components are needed and assist with deployment and configuration.
The platform discovers and inventories cryptographic assets across your environment by analyzing network activity, endpoints, databases, cloud key management systems, and other cryptographic services. It then consolidates this information into a centralized inventory of certificates, keys, algorithms, protocols, software, devices, and connections, providing visibility into cryptographic risk, compliance status, and post-quantum readiness. You can export the inventory and reports for your own use.
