How to reissue or replace an SSL certificate
Overview
By the end of this article, you will have submitted a reissue or replacement request for an existing SSL certificate in the Sectigo portal, using a new Certificate Signing Request (CSR) and a domain validation method. The article covers logging in to the portal, locating your certificate order, starting the reissue, entering a new CSR, and selecting a Domain Control Validation (DCV) method before submitting the request.
Prerequisites

A Sectigo portal account with access to the certificate order you want to reissue.

A newly generated CSR that matches your domain details.

Access to one supported domain validation method (email, DNS, or file-based).
Steps to reissue or replace an SSL certificate
Step 1: Log in to the Sectigo portal at https://sectigo.com.

- Step 2: Click on My Products and Services.
- Fig 2: Navigate to My Products & Services to view your issued certificates.
- Step 3: Select the certificate order you want to reissue (for example, Order number 1234567890).
- Fig 3: Locate and select the certificate order you want to reissue/replace.
Step 4: On the Manage Product page, click Reissue.
Fig 4: Open the certificate details and click Reissue to begin the process.
Step 5: Enter your new CSR and complete the request details.
Fig 5: Enter your new Certificate Signing Request (CSR) to proceed with reissuance.
- Step 6: Select a Domain Control Validation (DCV) method (see “Supported validation methods” below).
- Fig 6: Choose a Domain Control Validation (DCV) method such as Email, DNS, or HTTP.

Step 7: Click Continue to summary page.

Fig 7: Select and configure the preferred validation method for each domain, then continue.

Step 8: Review the information and click Submit Certificate Request to complete the reissue.

Ensure your CSR is generated correctly and matches your domain details. If it does not match, generate a new CSR before submitting the request.
