How to Add a Domain, Complete DCV, and Request a Certificate in SCM Pro
Overview
By the end of this guide, you will have added a domain to your Sectigo Certificate Manager (SCM) Pro account, completed Domain Control Validation (DCV) to prove you control that domain, and submitted a request for an SSL/TLS certificate. The guide covers adding the domain, accessing domain management, completing DCV, creating the certificate request, providing your Certificate Signing Request (CSR), and reviewing and submitting the request. DCV can be completed using email, Domain Name System (DNS), or HTTP-based methods, and the certificate is issued only after validation succeeds.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, make sure you have:

Access to your Sectigo Certificate Manager (SCM) Pro account

A valid domain name you control

A Certificate Signing Request (CSR) ready to paste or upload
Step 1: Log in and add a new domain

Log in to your SCM Pro account.

Go to Manage, then click Domains.

Click Add New, then enter your domain name.

Click Add Now to save the domain.
Step 2: Access domain management

Open the Domains section.

Locate the domain you added in Step 1.

Click Manage for that domain to open its management view.
Step 3: Complete Domain Control Validation (DCV)
Domain Control Validation (DCV) confirms that you control the domain before a certificate can be issued.

Click Start Validation.

Select your preferred validation method (email, Domain Name System (DNS), or HTTP).

Click Next.

Click Refresh to populate the validation details for the method you selected.

Complete the validation using the chosen method.
Step 4: Create a certificate request

Go to the Certificates section.

Click Add New, then select the Manual Certificate option.

Select the required certificate details, such as type and validity period.

(Optional) Add an email address to receive notifications.

Click Next.
Step 5: Provide the Certificate Signing Request (CSR)

Enter your Certificate Signing Request (CSR) by either pasting it into the provided field or uploading the CSR file.

Click Next.
Step 6: Review and submit

Review all the domain and certificate details you entered in the previous steps.

Click Submit to complete your certificate request.
Next steps

Monitor the certificate status in the Certificates section.

Once the certificate is issued, download it and install it on your server.
Additional notes

Complete DCV successfully before requesting issuance, because the certificate is issued only after validation passes.

If the validation details do not appear immediately, use the Refresh option.

The CSR must match the domain being validated.
