MS Agent "Disconnection" Issue
If you see that the MS Agent is marked as “Disconnected” in the SCM UI, follow the steps below for troubleshooting:
- Log in to SCM UI
- Go to the SCM UI and click "Integrations/MS Agents."
- Select the MS Agent
- Select the MS Agent that shows as “Disconnected” and click "Edit".
- Check the IP Address
- Verify the IP address of the server where the MS Agent is installed.
- Access the Agent Configuration File
- Open File Explorer on your server and navigate to the path C:\ProgramData\Sectigo MS Agent\conf.
- Open and Compare the Secret Key
- Open the "agent.properties" file and compare the "secret key" in the file with the one in the SCM UI to ensure they are correct.
- Reset the Secret Key
- You may need to reset the key if the secret keys do not match.
Reset the Secret Key
1. Stop Active Directory Certificate Services
- Open "Services" on your server, locate "Active Directory Certificate Services," and click "Stop."
2. Copy the Secret Key
- Copy the secret key from the agent.properties file.
3. Update the Secret Key in the SCM UI
- Go to the SCM UI and click the pencil icon next to the secret key of the MS Agent.
- When prompted to reset the secret key, click "OK."
4. Paste and Save the Secret Key
- Paste the secret key you copied from the agent.properties file and click "Save."
5. Restart Active Directory Certificate Services
- Return to "Services" on your server and click "Start" for "Active Directory Certificate Services."
6. Check the MS Agent Status
- Verify that the MS Agent now shows as "Connected."
7. Contact Sectigo Support
- If the issue persists, contact Sectigo Support for further assistance.
