Configuring and Using Sectigo Authentication Service (SAS) with Sectigo Certificate Manager (SCM)

Prerequisites

- Sectigo Authentication Service (SAS) must be enabled for your SCM instance.

- Your SAS account must already be created in SCM before you configure account security.
Part 1: Enabling and logging in with Sectigo Authentication Service (SAS)
1. Contact Sectigo Support
Contact Sectigo Certificate Manager (SCM) for Enterprise Support and request that they enable Sectigo Authentication Service (SAS) for your account.
2. Verify SAS on the SCM Login Screen
Once enabled, the Sectigo Authentication Service (SAS) login option will appear on the SCM login page.
3. Configure an Admin Account for SAS
- Log in to Sectigo Certificate Manager (SCM) using normal credentials.
- Go to Settings → Admins, select a Standard Admin account.
- Click Change Type.
4. Update Admin Type
In the Edit Admin window:
- Set Admin Type to Sectigo Authentication Service.
- Click Next.
5. Complete Admin Details
Fill out all required fields (marked with *).
Click Next.
6. Assign Roles and Privileges
Select the appropriate roles and privileges for the SAS user and click Save.
7. Confirm Admin Type
The admin account will now display Sectigo Authentication Service as its type.
8. Log Out
Go to My Profile → Log out.
9. Create Your SAS Account
On the SCM login screen:
- Click Sectigo Authentication Service (SAS).
- Select Sign up.
- Provide First Name, Last Name, Email, and Password.
- These details must match the SAS admin user created in SCM.
- Click Sign Up.
10. Verify Email
Check your inbox and verify your SAS account.
11. Log in Using SAS
- Return to the SCM login screen.
- Click Sectigo Authentication Service (SAS).
- Enter your email → Next.
- Enter your password → Log In.
You will be successfully logged into Sectigo Certificate Manager (SCM) using SAS.
Part 2: Managing Your SAS Account and Security Settings
1. Access SAS Portal from SCM
- Log in to SCM using Sign in with Sectigo Authentication Service (SAS).
- Click My Profile.
- Scroll to My Account → Manage .
This redirects you to the account management portal, where you can configure security settings.

In the SAS Portal:
- Click Account.
- Update Email, First Name, Last Name as needed.
- Click Save.

- Go to Security → Password.

4. Two‑Factor Authentication (Authenticator App)
Setup Steps:
- Under Security, select Authenticator Application.

- Complete by clicking Submit.
Using 2FA During Login:
- Log in using SAS.
- Enter your email and password.
- When prompted, enter the One-Time Code from your authenticator app.
Passkey Authentication Setup
Prerequisites
To register a passkey, you must use:
- Native platform passkey managers, such as:
- iCloud Keychain (macOS/iOS)
- Google Password Manager (Android/Chrome)
- Windows Hello (Windows)

- Third‑party password managers, such as:
- 1Password

- LastPass

Set Up Passkey Authentication
- In the SAS portal, go to Security → Passkey Authentication.
- Click on Register Passkey.
- Follow prompts from your OS or password manager.
- Once completed, use Log in with Passkey on the SCM login page.
Sessions
View Active Sessions
- In the SAS portal, open Sessions.
- Review all active sessions.
End Sessions
- Click Sign Out to end any active session.
Account Activity Log
Monitor account activity from the Account Activity Log page within the SAS portal.
The log provides detailed information about all actions performed on your account.
