JVM parameters for agents
You can configure Java Virtual Machine (JVM) parameters for all agent types. These settings are preserved when performing agent updates. The agents available depend on the operating system, as follows:
How to modify JVM parameters on Windows:
When working with a network agent or PKS agent installed on Windows, do the following: Navigate to the agent’s bin directory (located within the agent’s CCMExtraAgent or CCMPkController directory respectively).
Your path may be similar to the following examples:
C://ProgramFiles(x86)\COMODO\CCMExtraAgent\bin
C://ProgramFiles (x86)\COMODO\CCMPkController\bin
2. Open ccmextragentw.exe or ccmpkcontrollerw.exe to bring up the agent’s properties.
3. Navigate to the Java tab.
4. Use Java Options to add or modify JVM parameters as required.
5. Restart the service to have the changes applied.
When working with an MS agent installed on Windows, do the following:
1. Navigate to the agent’s Conf directory (located within the agent’s CcmMSAgent directory).
2. Open the start-agent.ini file.
3. Add or modify JVM parameters as required.
4. Save the changes and close the file.
5. Restart the service to have the changes applied.
How to modify JVM parameters on Linux

- Windows—network agent, PKS agent, and MS agent
- Linux—network agent and PKS agent
- To switch to a different SSL trustStore.
- To control the authentication schemes used when connecting via a proxy.
