In order for the VMC to work properly, a DNS record needs to be created. This record must be created for every domain or subdomain where the VMC or logo is intended to propagate.

Add a DNS TXT record 

1. Sign in to your DNS provider’s management portal.
2. Create a new record and set the record type to TXT.
3. In the Host (or Name) field, enter:       default._bimi.[yourdomain.com]
4. In the Value field, enter: v=BIMI1; l=[URL of your logo]; a=[URL of your certificate]
5. Set the TTL to 1 hour (or 3600 seconds, depending on your provider).
6. Save the record.
7. You might need to wait up to 48 hours for the record to fully propagate across the DNS system.
