How do I restore my unassigned databases?
Updated on September 26, 2024
Usually, databases backed up by CodeGuard are assigned to sites already on your account. However, some users may have unassigned databases that are added to their CodeGuard account by their hosting provider. Because these databases are not associated with the site they belong to, when the site is restored, these databases must be restored separately from the site. You can request a restore for an unassigned database by doing the following:
1. Click on one of the databases in the 'Other Databases' list.

2. Locate the database backup you would like to restore on the 'Databases' page.

3. Click the 'View All' button below the name of the database you would like to restore.

4. Click the 'Restore Options' button next to the version you would like to restore to.

5. Select the 'Request Zip' button to download a copy of the backup or the 'Restore' button to initiate an automated restore.
