How do I add another website?
Overview
By the end of this article, you will know how to add another website to your CodeGuard account and what to expect from your plan while doing so. The article compares the two paths: the Personal plan, where each additional site is added for an extra annual cost, and the Professional plan or higher, where additional sites are included up to your plan limit. It also explains how to verify the new site was added and what to do when you need more sites than your plan allows.
Before you begin
You need the following before adding another website to CodeGuard:
- An active CodeGuard account and your sign-in credentials.
- The connection details for the website you want to add — the same details you provided when you set up your first site.
- Confirmation of which plan your account uses, because the cost of adding a site differs by plan.
How adding a website differs by plan
The plan on your CodeGuard account determines whether an additional website costs extra. The steps in the dashboard are the same on both plans, so the difference is in the cost and in the number of sites allowed.
| Plan | Cost of an additional website | Number of sites |
|---|---|---|
| Personal plan | Charged at an additional annual cost, shown for you to accept | Each new site is added and charged separately |
| Professional plan or higher | Included at no additional cost | Included up to the number of sites in your plan |
How to add a website on the Personal plan
Adding a website on the Personal plan takes four steps in the CodeGuard dashboard, and the additional site is charged at an extra annual cost.
- Sign in to your CodeGuard account.
- Click the Add New Website button in the bottom right corner of your dashboard.
- Review the prompt showing the additional annual cost for the new site, and accept it to continue.
- Complete the same setup process you used for your first site, entering the connection details for the new website.
How to add a website on the Professional plan or higher
Adding a website on the Professional plan or higher takes three steps in the CodeGuard dashboard, and additional sites are included up to your plan limit.
- Sign in to your CodeGuard account.
- Click the Add New Website button in the bottom right corner of your dashboard.
- Complete the setup process, entering the connection details for the new website.

How to verify the website was added
The new website appears in the site list on your CodeGuard dashboard once it has been added. Open your dashboard and confirm that the new site name is listed alongside your existing sites and that CodeGuard has started its first backup of that site.
What to do if you need more sites than your plan allows
Each CodeGuard plan allows a set number of websites, and that limit cannot be exceeded from the dashboard. If you need more sites than your plan allows, contact CodeGuard support and request a custom package built for the number of sites you need.
