Export a PFX (Personal Information Exchange) file format with 3DES (Triple Data Encryption Standard) encryption.

1. Open your certificate manager where your certificate is installed (usually certmgr.msc or certlm.msc) 

 

2. Under Personal, select the certificate you want to export. Right-click on it and select All Tasks-> and click on the "Export" button.

3. When the Certificate Export Wizard starts, click Next on the Welcome Page.

4. In the Certificate Export Wizard, select "Yes, export the private key" and click on "Next".

5. Leave the default settings that the window presents or Check the box "Include all certificates in the certification path if possible" and click on "Next".

6. Check on the Password box and Enter a password for the PFX file. Then select the Encryption type as TripleDES-SHA1 and click on "Next". 

 

 

7. Choose a location to save the PFX file and click on "Next". 

 

 

8. A confirmation page will be displayed upon completion of the previous step. Review the export settings and Click Finish to complete the export process.  

 

 

Your certificate will now be exported into a PFX file with your new password.
