Can I stop LaunchPad at startup?
It is possible to stop Launchpad at startup, but this requires the registry to be edited.
Unless you are experienced in editing the registry we recommend you do not attempt to make changes to it.
LaunchPad has an HKLM\\SOFTWARE\\Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVersion\\Run Registry entry.
You can disable LaunchPad by using MS Config.
Click the START button, select Run & enter 'msconfig' (without the quotes).
On MS Config's 'Startup' tab find LaunchPad entry & un-check the box, this will disable it.
