How to Reissue or Replace SSL Certificates?

Purpose:

This article serves as a comprehensive guide for customers, providing detailed step-by-step instructions on how to reissue or replace an SSL certificate through the Sectigo portal. It outlines the entire process from logging into the portal and navigating to the correct product page, to entering a new Certificate Signing Request (CSR), selecting a domain validation method, and submitting the updated certificate request ensuring that customers can securely and efficiently manage their SSL certificates

Steps to Reissue or Replace SSL Certificate

Step 1: Login to the Portal

Go to Sectigo.com

Step 2: Navigate to Products and Services

Click on 'My products and services'.

Step 3: Select the Order

Click on Order number - xxxxxxxxxx.

Step 4: Reissue or Replace

Click on the reissue button on the Manage Product Page.

Step 5: Enter New CSR

Enter the new CSR and complete the request.

Additional Notes

Ensure that the CSR is generated correctly and matches your domain details. If it does match, please ask the customer to create a new CSR and submit the request.

 

Step 6: Select the Domain validation.

Supported Validation Methods

Sectigo supports the following DCV methods:

- Email-Based Validation

- DNS CNAME Record Validation

- DNS TXT Record Validation

- HTTP/HTTPS File-Based Validation

 

 

 

Once the validation method is selected click on ‘Continue to summary page”.

Finally, verify the information and click “Submit Certificate Request” to complete the reissue process.
