Certificate Request and Approval Workflow for VMC and CMC

The process of requesting and approving a Verified Mark Certificate (VMC) or Common Mark Certificate (CMC) involves multiple roles and steps to ensure the legitimacy of the applicant and the mark.

Key Roles in the Certificate Workflow

The Contract Signer, Requester and Approver are identified when the customer completes the subscriber agreement at the store level (retail) or a request is sent to the contract signer's email address if the order is submitted via our partner channel. Note that the applicant representative is a legitimate contract signer if the details about the latter are not provided separately.

The individual in the subscriber agreement must undergo a face-to-face validation via Video ID to verify their identity.
